Membership Categories

General Membership

Those individuals who are engaged in the profession of human resource management; or certified by the Human Resource Certification Institute; or certified by SHRH; or faculty members holding an assistant, associate, or full professor rank in human resource management or any of its specialized functions at an accredited college or university; or full-time consultants; or full-time attorneys with experience in counseling and advising clients on matters relating to the human resource profession. General Members may vote and hold office in the Chapter. The annual membership dues are $85 for members who are national SHRM members and $110 for members who are not national SHRM members. 

Associate Emeritus

A person who was a General Member of the Chapter for a period of at least five (5) consecutive years and who has retired from employment. Associate Emeritus members may vote and hold office in the Chapter. Associate Emeritus dues are $35.

Student Members

Student members must not be able to qualify for Professional or Associate Member status and may not vote or hold office in the Chapter. Student members are individuals who are enrolled in a full-time, degree program. Student membership is $0, however students must be able to provide verification (unoffical transcript) of the institution's degree program and a demonstrated emphasis in human resource management subjects. Note: This membership does not apply to working professionals, who are enrolled in higher education programs.
