Speaker:  Daniel Oneufer, Senior Project Manager

Dan is a Senior Project Manager working for Computer Aid.  He currently supports Pennsylvania State Government clients in the area of Criminal Justice and Public Safety.  Included in the projects he supports are systems to manage the handling of juvenile offenders, systems to support research into alternatives to adult incarceration, systems to compensate victims of crime for their losses, and systems to manage the distribution of millions of dollars in federal justice funds.  Dan works with multiple teams specializing in legacy, web-based, Geo-spatial, and mobile development.

Dan has been a speaker for the County Commissioner Association of Pennsylvania; the County Chief Adult Probation Officers Association of Pennsylvania, and at several Project Management Institute events.

As an HR professional, you are likely to be involved in formalized projects. This presentation will describe the relevant topics and roles of projects, and what you should expect regarding your participation. This presentation assumes no prior project management or project participation experience.

Understand what is expected of you as a project stakeholder as you participate in a project

The possible types of projects--waterfall or agile and what to expect in each type

What to expect or demand from your project manager
